When determining your marketing budget, several crucial factors come into play.

Marketing spans a wide and diverse mix including branding, website design & development, communications and sales.  Marketing requires meticulous consideration for a comprehensive and effective strategy.

Building a brand is not exclusive to large corporations; it is the cornerstone of every business, irrespective of size or industry.

Sales, under the marketing umbrella, is the crucial phase where prospects transition to customers. Develop professional sales presentations or methods that highlight the benefits of your offerings.  Have an elevator pitch ready. Don’t be scared to sell! Every business owner is a salesperson you have to be or you’ll go out of business. Regularly evaluate and work to lower your CAC without compromising your brand. Also a few other good to know figures are the Life Time Value (LTV) of a customer. So lets say for example you are eg a hairdresser with a beauticians – it’s the lifetime value of each new client that comes in the door and what it’s worth to your brand.  ROAS s another important factor Return On Ad Spend or also known as ROI Return On Investment.

A well-crafted marketing plan can be a game-changer for your company, propelling it to new heights. Starving your business of essential marketing components is never a wise decision. Instead, focus on refining your marketing effectiveness to ensure sustained growth and profitability. I always explain if you have a B&B but dont advertise it? You only have a house. Also during challenging times marketing spend is usually the first budget cut. If you advertise when your busy – When times are tough the troughs won’t be as low as they could be. If you stop advertising when things are quiet you are making a big mistake, to ensure momentum, advertising should be a continuous and ongoing commitment.

Googles Growing Market Share In The UK

The global market share statistics for the Google platform, reveals it is the leader in internet search activity, by far! Google dominates both the global market and the UK market for search, with Google as the UK’s main search engine.
  • Penetration rate across the UK for all Internet users is expected to increase from 90.64% to 94.85% by 2021.
  • Projections for 2021 predict UK mobile internet penetration rate will grow from 73.91% (as documented in 2016) to 84.55%.

After a marked increase of roughly 7 million users between 2016 and 2017, social media uptake in the United Kingdom has slowed down. Despite this, the number of users continues to grow each year and is forecast to reach nearly 51 million by 2025 with a market penetration rate of approximately 73.5% nationwide.

(i) £10,000 grant to ratepayers of businesses in receipt of the Small Business Bonus Scheme or Rural Relief.  Business with a rateable value up to £18,000 are eligible.  You can also get this grant if you applied for Nursery Relief or Disabled Relief but are eligible for the Small Business Bonus Scheme.

(ii) Retail, hospitality and leisure business ratepayers with a rateable value between £18,001 – £50,999 can apply for a one-off grant of £25,000.

This grant is being administered by Local Authorities on behalf of the Scottish Government.  Eligible ratepayers should apply to their local authority using the application form.

Are you a business owner with a Facebook business page?

Do you understand the importance of page roles?

Do you know the difference between Admin V Editor roles and their relevant permissions?

As a page owner, we always recommend your page role is “admin” as this is your property, it is your business, you own this.

The person who creates the page is automatically the “admin”.

And sometimes…Unfortunately, web developers, friends, family, well-meaning members of staff.

Who set this up for the business owner, but the business owner is not made an ADMIN but they are the business owner

but have been set up with a lower ranking page role with less permissions than ad admin has, such as an “editor”…

Which means you do not have as many privileges as an Admin and does not allow you to add or remove admins!

Only admins can assign ie add/remove page roles to your Facebook page.

Only an admin page role has the necessary privileges or access required to add or remove admins.

not just one because if the ONLY person that is the admin has there page taken down or removed then no-one can gain access to the business page.

Plus as the admin you have the greatest control over your page as this is your business and your collateral.

There are 6 different types of roles for people who manage Pages. When you create a Page, you automatically become the Page’s admin, which means you can change the Page the style and how it looks and you can publish as the business page.

Keep in mind that multiple people can have roles on a Page, but each person needs their own personal Facebook account.
